Cookie & Local Storage Charter
Effective Date: October 20, 2026 · Universal Lore Protocol v2.5
1. Purpose & Martial Accord
This Cookie Policy explains how MurimVerse ("we", "our", "us") employs HTTP cookies, browser LocalStorage, and related client-side caching technologies across our digital archive and interactive tactical cartography.
We believe in true digital autonomy: we do not sell your data, we do not deploy invasive third-party cross-site advertising trackers, and we restrict our storage usage strictly to essential cultivation credentials, interface preferences, and tactical map viewport state.
2. What Are Cookies & Local Storage?
Cookies are miniature cryptographic text files placed on your browser or device by web servers. Web Storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) allows applications to store key-value data directly in your browser without transmitting it across the network on every single request.
3. Detailed Inventory of Storage Keys Used
Cryptographically hashed authentication JWT token maintaining your secure login session. Configured with HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure flags.
Stores your chosen visual aesthetic (Light Parchment vs. Dark Ink Jianghu) to eliminate visual flicker during page load.
Records your choice on the cookie consent banner so we do not repeatedly prompt you on subsequent visits.
Caches current zoom level and pan coordinates on the Pixi.js WebGL Tactical Map to ensure seamless navigation between sect profiles.
4. Third-Party Technical Infrastructure
MurimVerse relies on trusted cloud partners operating under strict data protection protocols:
- Supabase Cloud (PostgreSQL & Auth): Provides authentication services, user verification, and row-level security policies.
- Vercel Edge Network: Delivers high-speed global CDN caching, SSL encryption, and serverless compute.
- Upstash Redis (Optional Rate-Limiting): Ephemeral IP-bucket caching to protect API routes from automated attacks.
5. How Cultivators Can Control Cookies
You retain complete power over your browser storage. You can block or purge cookies at any time via your browser settings:
